Premier I / IA

The Premier 1A has the widest cabin of any light jet regularly available on Mexico routes, and it arrives there with a carbon-composite fuselage rather than a stretch. Six passengers, 451 knots, and a cabin that feels noticeably more spacious than the specs suggest for a Mexico Jet Charter quote.

Raytheon, later Hawker Beechcraft, built the Premier I and the improved 1A around a composite fuselage wound rather than riveted, which removed the internal structure that normally limits cabin width. Two Williams FJ44-2A engines, 451 knots and 1,430 nautical miles of range. Every Premier 1A we arrange flies with an operator certificated under FAR Part 135, the FAA rules for on-demand, for-hire charter.

Why the Premier 1A Fits Mexico

Cabin width is the reason clients pick the Premier 1A over a CJ2 on Mexico corporate routes. Six people sitting across a genuinely wide cabin on a two-hour Houston-to-Monterrey run have a different experience from six people in a narrower one, and the composite shell keeps the noise level down alongside it.

Baggage capacity is where the Premier gives ground relative to its cabin quality. A team of six headed into Monterrey for a day-meeting-and-back is a perfect Premier 1A trip. A family of six flying into Los Cabos with a week’s luggage is a conversation about a CJ3 or a Citation V instead. Raising that at quote stage is simpler than watching bags stay on the ramp.

At 1,430 nautical miles the range covers the Texas-to-Monterrey corridors and the Florida-to-Cancun sector comfortably. Mexico City via Toluca from the US Midwest begins to test the limits with a full load and Toluca’s high-elevation performance demands, so we plan that one against actual operator data.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates; reports may be provided on request.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.

Charter Pricing Reference

Industry hourly rates for the Premier 1A run $3,400 to $4,600 per hour as of 7/2026. Actual quotes vary by operator, routing, positioning, and date.

The Premier 1A quotes with the mid-to-upper Mexico light jets, and on short-to-medium sectors the cabin quality is what the rate buys rather than range.
