We don’t own or operate aircraft. We source flights with vetted operators on your behalf and work as your advisor from the first call through wheels-down. That distinction matters in a market where the charter industry has more than 4,000 brokers worldwide and almost no barrier to entry. Most aren’t required to hold a license, carry insurance, or pass any test. We hold ourselves to standards no one makes us meet.
Our Vetting Standard
Every operator we work with holds a valid FAR Part 135 certificate for domestic and US-to-Mexico flights, or the foreign equivalent for international legs. Part 135 is the FAA’s standard for on-demand, for-hire charter. It carries stricter operating, crew, and insurance requirements than FAR Part 91, the rules for private, non-commercial flying that cannot be sold as charter. Every flight we arrange runs under Part 135, or Part 121 for airliner-size group trips.
Before any quote goes out, we confirm the operator’s certification, review the operator’s safety and incident history, and confirm that the pilots are experienced and current on the specific aircraft type. Where the operator participates in third-party audit programs, we reference those reports. Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
Mexico Coverage
We coordinate flights across Mexico’s major private aviation gateways: Cancún (MMUN) for the Riviera Maya corridor, Tulum (MMTL) for direct access to the southern Riviera Maya without the long road transfer from Cancún, Los Cabos (MMSD) for Baja’s resort coast, and Puerto Vallarta (MMPR) for Banderas Bay and the Riviera Nayarit. We also handle Mexico City arrivals through Toluca International (MMTO), the standard private jet gateway for Greater Mexico City, as well as corporate routes into Monterrey (MMMY) and Guadalajara (MMGL).
Mexico routes carry permit and regulatory requirements that go beyond a standard US domestic flight. Charter flights into Mexico require a permit from AFAC (Agencia Federal de Aviación Civil), the country’s civil aviation authority, and customs filings before departure. We coordinate permit handling and work with experienced local handling agents who know the airports and the customs process. Your advisor will walk you through what to expect before you book.
