The Global Express is the original aircraft that established Bombardier’s long-range Global family, covering up to 6,700 nautical miles at a rate below its more recent siblings. For Mexico charter, it is the Global-cabin experience at a lower entry point, with a fleet that has been flying since 1996.
Bombardier certified the Global Express in 1996 as the first purpose-built ultra-long-range business jet. Two Rolls-Royce BR710 turbofans, a stand-up cabin seating 13 in a typical configuration and up to 19 at maximum density, and a 51,000-foot ceiling. It is the earlier, lower-specification member of the Global family that includes the 5000, 6000, and 6500.

Why the Global Express Fits Mexico
At 6,700 nautical miles, the Global Express covers Mexico City to London nonstop with a working payload in favorable conditions, and every US-to-Mexico route without range entering the calculation. Toluca’s 8,460-foot elevation requires hot-and-high performance planning, consistent with any Global-family aircraft at this size.
The Global Express fleet is mature, which means operator standards vary more than on newer aircraft. We confirm the operator’s FAR Part 135 certification, its ARGUS or Wyvern rating where the operator participates, and that the crew is current on the type before booking.
For Mexico leisure and corporate travel where the Global cabin width is the priority and the rate premium of a Global 6500 or 6000 is not justified by the routing, the Global Express is the realistic comparison.
