The Embraer Lineage 1000 brings airliner-derived space to Mexico charter, carrying 13 to 19 passengers across five cabin zones with 4,500 nautical miles of range. For Mexico resort group travel, particularly Cancun and Los Cabos, it is the aircraft that covers the US-to-Mexico leg and delivers a flying-lounge experience rather than a packed cabin.
Embraer built the Lineage 1000 on the ERJ-190 regional airliner airframe, adding fuel tanks and a five-zone executive interior with optional walk-in bedroom and full shower. The aircraft cruises at 470 knots up to 41,000 feet. Cabin seats 13 in a typical configuration, up to 19 at maximum density.

Why the Embraer Lineage 1000 Fits Mexico
Group leisure trips to Cancun and Los Cabos are the primary Mexico use case for the Lineage 1000. Miami to Cancun runs under 800 nautical miles, New York to Cancun roughly 1,600 nautical miles, Los Angeles to Los Cabos about 900 nautical miles: all comfortably inside 4,500 nautical miles. The five-zone cabin turns the flight into part of the experience rather than a transit.
At Toluca’s 8,460-foot elevation, the Lineage 1000’s field performance requires confirmation against payload and conditions. The airframe is airliner-derived, so the operator’s dispatch calculation is more detailed than on a purpose-built business jet. For Mexico City corporate travel with a large group, Felipe Angeles’ longer runways at 7,369 feet are worth discussing with the operator as an alternative.
The range at 4,500 nautical miles covers the continental US and Mexico without reaching the US East Coast to Europe corridor. For a group that needs Mexico and transatlantic capability on the same trip, an ultra-long-range aircraft is the answer; for Mexico and continental US, the Lineage 1000 handles both well.

Vetting Behind Every Trip
Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:
- FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
- Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates; reports may be provided on request.
- Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
- Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
Charter Pricing Reference
Industry hourly rates for the Embraer Lineage 1000 run $12,500 to $16,000 per hour as of 7/2026. Actual quotes vary by operator, routing, positioning, and date.
At $12,500 to $16,000 per hour, the Lineage 1000 prices similarly to a Global 6500 while carrying more passengers. On a Cancun or Los Cabos group charter, the per-seat cost often favors the Lineage.
