Falcon 7X

The Dassault Falcon 7X is a three-engine ultra-long-range jet covering 5,950 nautical miles, and for Mexico charter it brings the same tri-jet performance advantages as the Falcon 8X at a lower rate. The short-field DNA and high-altitude capability of the Falcon family suit the Mexico City gateway airports well.

Dassault built the 7X as a trijet with digital fly-by-wire flight controls, three Pratt and Whitney Canada PW307A engines, and EASy II avionics. The cabin seats 12 in a typical configuration, up to 16 at maximum density, with a stand-up interior and a 51,000-foot certified ceiling. Full specifications for the Falcon 7X are published by Dassault Falcon.

Why the Falcon 7X Fits Mexico

For Mexico City departures from Toluca at 8,460 feet, the tri-jet thrust margins give the Falcon 7X a practical advantage over similarly ranged twin-engine aircraft on warm afternoon departures. The crew completes hot-and-high performance calculations for every trip, and the Falcon’s approach speed characteristics make Toluca’s 14,140-foot runway more than adequate.

At 5,950 nautical miles, the Falcon 7X covers Mexico City to London with a working payload in suitable conditions, and all US corridor routes without range becoming a consideration. For a Mexico-based principal traveling between Mexico City, New York, and the US West Coast, the 7X covers the full pattern nonstop. The comparison against the 8X usually comes down to whether the 500-nautical-mile range difference changes any specific routing.

The Falcon 7X entered service in 2007, so the charter fleet is larger than newer aircraft in this category, which means availability is a realistic conversation rather than a constraint-before-price situation.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates; reports may be provided on request.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.

Charter Pricing Reference

Industry hourly rates for the Falcon 7X run $12,000 to $15,000 per hour as of 7/2026. Actual quotes vary by operator, routing, positioning, and date.

At $12,000 to $15,000 per hour, the Falcon 7X prices at the entry point of the ultra-long-range band, and on Mexico routes inside 5,950 nautical miles it competes directly with the Global 5500 and Global 6000.
