Gulfstream G800

The Gulfstream G800 is Gulfstream’s longest-range aircraft at 8,200 nautical miles, and for Mexico charter it is the aircraft that makes Mexico City to Asia or Australia a single-leg calculation rather than a routing question. It entered service in mid-2025 as the successor to the G650ER.

Gulfstream received FAA type certification for the G800 in April 2025 as the ultra-long-range successor to the G650ER, carrying Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 turbofans and the Symmetry flight deck. Why the Gulfstream G800 Fits Mexico

Mexico City to Tokyo at 7,800 nautical miles is inside the G800’s range with margin at Mach 0.85. Mexico City to London at 5,500 nautical miles is well inside the envelope. From Toluca at 8,460 feet, the crew completes high-altitude performance planning before each trip; at maximum weight, Felipe Angeles with its 14,764-foot runway is the Mexico City region alternative.

The G800 publishes two cruise options: 8,200 nautical miles at Mach 0.85 long-range cruise, or roughly 7,000 nautical miles at Mach 0.90 high-speed cruise. On a Mexico to Asia routing, that trade is a real scheduling decision: fly fast and arrive sooner, or fly at long-range cruise and remove any stop consideration. The operator plans the specific date.

As a 2025 entry into service, the charter fleet is very small. A Mexico request for the G800 starts with availability, not price. The G650 and G700 are the practical alternatives in most cases.
