Gulfstream G700

The Gulfstream G700 is the longest-cabin Gulfstream built, carrying up to 19 passengers across five living areas with 7,500 nautical miles of range. For Mexico charter on intercontinental routings, it is one of a small number of aircraft that reaches from Mexico City toward Asia or Australia without a technical stop.

Gulfstream FAA-certified the G700 in March 2024 with entry into service in April. The airframe carries Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 turbofans, the Symmetry flight deck, and up to five cabin zones. Overall length is 109.8 feet, wingspan 103 feet. Cabin seats 13 in a typical charter configuration, up to 19 at maximum density. Full specifications for the Gulfstream G700 are published by Gulfstream Aerospace.

Why the Gulfstream G700 Fits Mexico

Mexico City to London at 5,500 nautical miles is well inside the G700’s range. Mexico City to Tokyo at 7,800 nautical miles approaches the limits: the G700 may complete it with favorable winds and a light cabin; otherwise one stop. From Toluca at 8,460 feet, hot-and-high performance planning is required, and Felipe Angeles with the longest runways in the Mexico City region is the alternative for near-maximum-weight departures.

The five-zone cabin is the practical difference from the G650. For a Mexico-based principal traveling with an executive team and needing to work and sleep separately, the G700’s multiple living areas deliver that in a way a four-zone aircraft does not. On shorter Mexico routes the extra zones are unused; on a twelve-hour intercontinental leg they matter.

The charter fleet is still growing as deliveries continue, so a Mexico request for this specific type should be made with lead time. During Mexico peak travel seasons, availability is the constraint before price.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates; reports may be provided on request.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
