Learjet 75

The Learjet 75 is the last and most capable Learjet Bombardier built, and in the Mexico market it is the fast option at the top of the super light category. Eight or nine seats, 464 knots, and 2,040 nautical miles, in a cabin with a proper flat floor that earlier Learjets did not have.

Bombardier modernized the Learjet 45XR with Honeywell TFE731-40BR engines, canted winglets, the Garmin G5000 flight deck and a redesigned interior to create the Learjet 75. Eight to nine seats, 464 knots and 2,040 nautical miles of range. Learjet production ended in 2021.

Why the Learjet 75 Fits Mexico

Nine seats at 464 knots with over 2,000 nautical miles of range is a combination that the Phenom 300 does not match on speed and that the Learjet 45 does not match on cabin quality. For a Mexico group of eight or nine flying from the US East Coast or Midwest into Cancun or Guadalajara, the Learjet 75 is often the aircraft that keeps everyone together on one leg without sacrificing block time.

The flat floor is the change from the older Learjets that passengers notice first on Mexico charter. Standing and moving in a Learjet cabin was not comfortable before this generation, and on a three-hour leg into Toluca or a two-and-a-half-hour run to Cancun it is a meaningful difference. Toluca’s high-elevation performance requirements apply as always, and we confirm operator data before quoting.

Learjet production ended in 2021 and the 75 was the final model, making this a finite fleet. On peak Mexico leisure dates, especially the Christmas and spring break windows when Cancun and Los Cabos are under full demand, availability needs more lead time than a Phenom 300 or Citation XLS would require.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates; reports may be provided on request.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.

Charter Pricing Reference

Industry hourly rates for the Learjet 75 run $4,500 to $5,800 per hour as of 7/2026. Actual quotes vary by operator, routing, positioning, and date.

The Learjet 75 quotes close to a Phenom 300, and with eight or nine passengers on a Mexico route it is usually the cheaper of the two on a per-seat basis.
