The Embraer Phenom 100 is a well-regarded very light jet for Mexico’s short and medium charter routes, combining a comfortable four-passenger cabin with the efficiency and reliability Embraer brought from its regional airliner experience.
Embraer designed the Phenom 100 as the entry point into its business jet range, using two Pratt and Whitney Canada PW617F engines and a single-pilot certification path. It seats four to seven passengers depending on configuration, cruises around 380 knots to 41,000 feet, and carries a range of roughly 1,178 nautical miles.

Why the Embraer Phenom 100 Fits Mexico
Houston or Dallas to Monterrey is the Phenom 100’s Mexico home ground. At roughly 430 and 580 nautical miles respectively, both routes are well inside the aircraft’s range with reserves, and the cabin is comfortable for the executive trip that defines Mexico’s US border corporate corridor.
Los Angeles to Los Cabos at roughly 900 miles is near the Phenom 100’s practical limit with a full passenger load. Operators confirm payload-specific range on this routing; with three passengers and normal fuel it typically works. At four passengers and full bags, we ask the operator.
The Phenom 100 is one of the more common very light jets on Mexico quote sheets because the fleet is relatively large and the type is well-supported. Confirmed Part 135 operators with this aircraft are available across the southern US states that generate most Mexico demand.

Vetting Behind Every Trip
Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:
- FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
- Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates; reports may be provided on request.
- Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
- Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
