HondaJet Elite

The HondaJet Elite extends the base HondaJet’s Mexico range by nearly 250 nautical miles, keeping the same fast cruise speed and high ceiling while reaching more of Mexico’s resort and corporate destinations from US departure points.

Honda Aircraft built the HondaJet Elite as a refined version of the base HA-420, retaining the over-wing engine design and GE Honda HF120 turbofans while improving cabin finishes, noise insulation, and fuel capacity. It seats five to six passengers, cruises around 422 knots to 43,000 feet, and carries a range of roughly 1,437 nautical miles. Every HondaJet Elite we arrange flies with an operator certificated under FAR Part 135, the FAA rules for on-demand, for-hire charter.

Why the HondaJet Elite Fits Mexico

The additional range matters on specific Mexico routes. Los Angeles to Los Cabos at roughly 900 nautical miles, Miami to Cancun at roughly 750 miles: both are comfortable missions for the Elite where the base HondaJet runs closer to its limit. The 237 nautical mile improvement over the base model opens those leisure routes more reliably.

For the US-to-Mexico corporate corridor, the Elite carries the same advantages as the base aircraft: fast cruise, high ceiling, and the ability to overfly convective weather that slows lower-flying alternatives. The Monterrey and Guadalajara corporate runs from Houston or Dallas are well inside its range with reserves.

Toluca performance at 8,460 feet elevation applies to the Elite as to any light jet. Operator-confirmed performance calculations before the trip, not estimated on a range chart. With a light passenger load the aircraft manages Toluca straightforwardly.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates; reports may be provided on request.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
