ATR 72F

The ATR 72F is a purpose-built regional cargo turboprop, and in Mexico it handles the short-sector freight runs that connect smaller cities to the country’s main freight hubs. A practical, fuel-efficient aircraft for loads that do not justify a jet freighter.

ATR builds the 72 as a twin turboprop regional aircraft; the 72F is the dedicated freighter version, first delivered in 2020. Two Pratt and Whitney PW127M engines produce a cruise around 275 knots to 25,000 feet, with roughly 900 nautical miles of range at maximum payload and a large main-deck cargo volume designed for pallets from the factory rather than as a retrofit.
