Business meeting travel in Mexico concentrates on three corridors: Mexico City to Monterrey, Mexico City to Guadalajara, and the cross-border legs from Texas into both. Charter earns its cost on these routes when the meeting is the same day and the return matters as much as the arrival.
The Internal Corridors
Toluca to Monterrey at about 565 miles is the dominant internal executive route, and Toluca to Guadalajara at roughly 275 miles is the highest-frequency short corporate leg. The second is short enough that a turboprop often lands within a few minutes of what a light jet would achieve, at a materially lower rate.
Same-Day Return Trips
The value of charter on these corridors is the return leg. A morning arrival in Monterrey and an evening departure back to Mexico City is a normal day on a private aircraft and an awkward one on a schedule. We hold the aircraft and crew for the day rather than booking two separate legs, which also protects the return if the meeting overruns.
Documents and Ramp Checks
Mexican civil airports are operated by the military, and document checks on the ramp are routine. This is not a problem for a properly permitted charter, but it is a reason the operator’s paperwork needs to be in order before the day rather than on it. That check is part of what we do before we present an aircraft.

- FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
- Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates; reports may be provided on request.
- Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.

Mexico Patterns We Plan Around
Two things shape almost every Mexico charter regardless of the reason for the trip. The first is lead time. Landing and customs permits are applied for after a trip has been secured on the aircraft schedule, and the timeline is sometimes set by the local airport authorities, so the earlier you book, the more room we have to work with. The second is elevation. Toluca, the main Mexico City private jet gateway, sits at 8,460 feet, and on a warm afternoon its density altitude can pass 11,000 feet, which changes what an aircraft can lift.
