Mexico’s automotive manufacturing base runs from the Bajío corridor through Monterrey, and it moves people on a schedule that scheduled airlines do not serve well. General Motors, Volkswagen, Mazda, Ford and Pirelli all operate in the Bajío, and Monterrey carries the steel, glass and industrial base around Alfa, Cemex and Vitro. The Bajío automotive corridor is served from León at 5,955 feet, which is enough elevation to matter on a warm-day departure at full payload. We factor that into the aircraft recommendation rather than leaving it to the day, particularly for a light jet carrying a full engineering team and equipment cases.

- FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
- Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates; reports may be provided on request.
- Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.

Mexico Patterns We Plan Around
Two things shape almost every Mexico charter regardless of the reason for the trip. The first is lead time. Landing and customs permits are applied for after a trip has been secured on the aircraft schedule, and the timeline is sometimes set by the local airport authorities, so the earlier you book, the more room we have to work with. The second is elevation. Toluca, the main Mexico City private jet gateway, sits at 8,460 feet, and on a warm afternoon its density altitude can pass 11,000 feet, which changes what an aircraft can lift.
