Dassault Falcon 2000LXS

The Dassault Falcon 2000LXS brings twin-engine efficiency and a 4,000-nautical-mile range to Mexico’s heavy-jet market, connecting the US East Coast to Mexico City or the Pacific resorts with one of the more fuel-efficient platforms in its class. Mexico’s combination of high-altitude airports and long transborder routes plays to the 2000LXS’s strengths.

Dassault introduced the Falcon 2000LXS in 2013 as an enhanced version of the 2000LX, adding a new high-lift wing and short-field performance improvements. Powered by two CFE738-1-1B engines, it seats 8 to 10 passengers, cruises at 482 knots, and reaches a ceiling of 47,000 feet. Full specifications for the Dassault Falcon 2000LXS are published by Dassault Falcon.

Why the Dassault Falcon 2000LXS Fits Mexico

The 2000LXS’s short-field capability, one of its distinguishing features in the 2000 family, is relevant for secondary Mexican airports with shorter runways. Oaxaca and some Yucatan Peninsula fields are more accessible to an aircraft with demonstrated short-field performance than to heavier or less capable platforms.

Toluca at 8,460 feet is within the 2000LXS’s hot-and-high performance envelope with a cabin load of 8 to 10 passengers. The 47,000-foot ceiling also means the aircraft can climb above much of Mexico’s mountainous terrain on the approach to Mexico City.

For Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta leisure routes from the US East Coast or Midwest, the 2000LXS covers the distance nonstop and delivers a quiet, well-appointed cabin suited to the clientele traveling to Mexico’s Pacific coast resorts.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
