Cessna Citation Hemisphere

The Cessna Citation Hemisphere is still in the final stages of certification as of 2026 and is not yet available for charter in Mexico, but when it enters service it will represent a significant option for high-capacity Mexico routes. Its projected 4,500-nautical-mile range and cabin for up to 19 passengers would make it one of the largest super-midsize-to-heavy class jets available for Mexican charter.

The Citation Hemisphere is Textron Aviation’s flagship under-development heavy jet, targeting a 4,500-nautical-mile range, a ceiling of 45,000 feet, and cruising speed around 516 knots. Seating is projected at 12 to 19 passengers in a wide, long cabin. Certification had not been completed as of mid-2026. Every Cessna Citation Hemisphere we arrange flies with an operator certificated under FAR Part 135, the FAA rules for on-demand, for-hire charter.

Why the Cessna Citation Hemisphere Fits Mexico

Once certified, the Hemisphere’s range would connect the US East Coast to Mexico City nonstop with significant payload, addressing one of the more demanding routing requirements in Mexican charter. Its cabin size would suit large group travel to resort destinations like Cancun and Los Cabos.

The high ceiling of 45,000 feet would help the aircraft clear Mexico’s mountainous terrain efficiently and reduce turbulence exposure on routes crossing the Sierra Madre. Toluca performance data will need operator-supplied charts when booking becomes available.

Corporate group travel between the US and Mexico’s industrial hubs, particularly Monterrey and Guadalajara, would be a natural fit given the projected passenger capacity.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
