The Caste of San Juan is a large complex of fortresses, prisons, and formerly a palace. Much like the fortress in San Juan, Puerto Rico, this fortress was built for sea defense many years ago. When it’s initial purpose was no longer necessary, it was closed, renovated, and is now open to locals and tourists as a museum and tourist attraction.

This museum documents the history of Mexico’s navy, and offers tourists many several attractions and exhibits about the Navy during times of war.
Malecon The Malecon is a popular walkway in downtown Veracruz that goes along the port. It has a nice view of the sea, the town, and the port. There are sometimes boat and bus tours available, but many people bike ride and walk the length of the walkway for sight-seeing.
Canonero Guanajuato Canonero Guanajuato is an old war ship turned into a Naval Museum. Many tourists suggest a guide for the tour so that you may get the most out of your visit, and learn all about the ship while it was in service.
